Repeat Prescriptions

When ordering repeat prescriptions we will require you to leave the name of a Chemist which you can go directly to and collect your medication.

(a) Repeat prescriptions ONLY may be ordered at any time of the day or night on the dedicated telephone line 02892 626451. As this is an answering machine please follow the instructions, speak clearly and give the tablet name and strength.

DO NOT LEAVE URGENT MESSAGES ON THE ANSWERING MACHINE AS WE ARE UNABLE TO GUARANTEE AN APPROPRIATE RESPONSE AND WE ACCEPT NO LIABILITY FOR NON-PRESCRIPTION MESSAGES.

(b) Please phone 02892 603133 after 10.30 in the morning and the receptionist will process your prescription. Please do not phone before 10.30 am as this blocks the phone lines for people obtaining appointments and requesting home visits. Please try and know both the name and strength of your medication as this reduces the possibility of confusion over tablets. Please allow 72 hours for signing.

(c) Request a repeat prescription online.  Follow the link to the repeat prescription form at the bottom this page and please allow 72 hours for your prescription to be ready.Prescriptions ordered at the weekend will NOT be ready for collection until Wednesday.  Please allow for bank holidays.

We would like also to request that patients try to work with us in ordering all their items that they require at the same time, if you have medications which are running out at different times during the month, then please advise a receptionists of this, when you are ordering the next time.

Due to an ever increasing number of contacts with the practice, we feel that this would be a worthwhile exercise to try and reduce the number of times you have to contact the Practice to request your repeat medications.

We are trying to streamline and improve the service we provide for our patients, but we need your assistance in this matter.

NEW SERVICE - "Nominated Chemist"

You can specify ONE chemist to collect your repeat prescriptions from the surgery. If you wish to use this service, please ask reception for a consent form.

If you change your mind or wish to change the chemist you use at a later date, then you must let us know.
